Child Safety Standards
Our Commitment
QUUL is committed to providing a safe environment for all users. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content on our platform. We actively work to prevent, detect, and respond to any such content or behavior.
Platform Design
QUUL is a community discovery platform designed for users aged 16 and older. The platform is not intended for, marketed to, or designed for use by children under the age of 16.
Age Restrictions
- Users must be at least 13 years of age to create an account, as stated in our Terms of Use
- The app's target audience is users aged 16 and older
- Content and features, including real-time messaging and location sharing, are designed for adult and older teen use
Prevention Measures
Account and Content Controls
- All user-generated content, including reviews, messages, and profile information, is subject to our content moderation policies
- Users must create an account with verified credentials to participate in community features
- Profile photos and user-uploaded images are monitored for policy violations
- Community moderators help maintain safe spaces within each community chapter
Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following are strictly prohibited on QUUL:
- Any content depicting, promoting, or facilitating child sexual abuse or exploitation
- Any content sexualizing minors in any form
- Grooming behavior or attempts to establish inappropriate contact with minors
- Sharing, distributing, or soliciting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Any behavior that endangers the safety or wellbeing of minors
Detection and Reporting
In-App Reporting
QUUL provides accessible reporting mechanisms for users to flag concerning content or behavior:
- Users can report individual reviews, messages, and profiles directly within the app
- Reports are reviewed promptly by our moderation team
- Reporters' identities are kept confidential
Moderation Process
- All reports involving potential child safety concerns are treated as highest priority
- Content that violates our child safety policies is immediately removed
- Accounts found to be in violation are permanently suspended
Reporting to Authorities
- Confirmed or suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation
- We comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws regarding child safety and mandatory reporting
Data Handling
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as described in our Privacy Policy
- If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information
- User data involved in child safety investigations is preserved as required by law
